About The Role
RadixArk is seeking a Lead DX Engineer – Documentation to be the founding member of our developer experience team and own our documentation strategy. Documentation is critical to SGLang's success as the fastest open LLM serving engine and Miles as our RL training framework—this role will directly impact how thousands of developers deploy and optimize AI infrastructure. You'll report to our Head of Engineering and have the opportunity to build your own team as we scale. This role is for a senior engineer who is obsessed with developer experience, enjoys writing and educating developers, and wants to lead building world-class docs for production AI infrastructure. We're looking for someone with expertise to lead comprehensive documentation efforts and drive adoption among the global AI systems community.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in technical writing, systems engineering, and/or developer education
Experience building with AI infrastructure: LLM serving engines (SGLang, vLLM, TensorRT-LLM) or distributed training frameworks
Proven track record of creating technical content (docs/guides/benchmarks/cookbooks) for developer tools or infrastructure projects
Excellent technical communication skills with ability to explain complex systems concepts to various developer audiences
Proficiency in writing code examples with Python and comfortable reading C++/CUDA
Quickly adapt to new technical domains, learning and articulating complex infrastructure concepts into clear, comprehensive content
Understanding of LLM inference optimization (attention mechanisms, KV cache, batching, parallelism) is a plus
Experience with open-source community engagement and technical blogging
Responsibilities
Lead the comprehensive documentation strategy across SGLang, Miles, and our platform products
Write definitive guides on LLM serving optimization, distributed training, and performance tuning on our infrastructure
Collaborate with engineering teams to document and showcase new features as they ship, with Python examples and performance benchmarks
Create technical cookbooks addressing common deployment patterns: multi-GPU inference, efficient fine-tuning, RL training at scale
Develop benchmark methodologies and publish performance comparisons across hardware configurations (H100, H200, B200, TPUs)
Build getting-started guides, API references, and troubleshooting documentation for SGLang and Miles
Engage with the open-source community: respond to documentation issues, incorporate feedback, and identify content gaps
Establish documentation standards, style guides, and contribution workflows for the team
Partner with Developer Relations to create educational content: blog posts, tutorials, conference talks
Analyze documentation usage metrics and continuously improve content based on developer feedback
